The game was scoreless before the Presidents' Mike Pappas scored the first of his two goals in the 30th minute. Dan Hart scored eight minutes later, and Washington & Jefferson extended its lead to 4-0 with two goals in the first eight minutes of the second half

The Presidents held a 21-11 advantage in shots. Point Park's Francis Tabi (Kumasi, Ghana) registered a team-high five shots.

The schedule does not get any easier of the Pioneers, who open American Mideast Conference play Thursday at Mt. Vernon Nazarene (3 p.m.) The Cougars were picked to finish first in the AMC in the preseason coaches' poll and are currently among the 'others receiving votes' section of the NAIA men's soccer top-25 poll.
