PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University junior Zach Rafalowski was named the KIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Sept. 29-Oct. 5 by the conference officials on Monday (Oct. 6).

Rafalowski, a junior from Pittsburgh, Pa., and Keystone Oaks High School, played defensive midfield and also center back during the Pioneers' 5-0 victory over Cincinnati Christian at home on Oct. 4.

He played midfield in the first half when NAIA No. 23 Point Park (6-2, 2-0 KIAC) built a 4-0 lead. He then shifted to the defensive line in the second half as the Pioneers recorded their second shutout of the year.

Rafalowski has started all eight games for Point Park, which is in action on Saturday at Shawnee State (3 p.m.).
