Point Park men's soccer falls behind early in 2-1 loss at NAIA Northwestern Ohio

LIMA, Ohio -- The Point Park University men's soccer team fell behind early in a 2-1 loss at NAIA, non-conference opponent Northwestern Ohio on Saturday night. Northwestern Ohio (3-0-2) remained unbeaten with two goals in the first 13 minutes to take control over Point Park (1-2-1, 0-0 KIAC).
Gabriel Falcon scored on a breakaway in the 11th minute to put the Racers ahead, 1-0. Peguy Ngatcha made it 2-0 with his strike at the 13:44 mark.
Point Park's Ousman Jaiteh cut the lead in half with his third goal of the year in the 64th minute. But the Pioneers could not muster the tying goal as they managed just five shots (four on goal) in the match.
Northwestern Ohio had 13 shots (five on goal) and got three saves from goalkeeper Liam Davies. Point Park keeper Derrick Whiten made three saves in 90 minutes. UNOH held a 6-0 lead in corner kicks.
Point Park returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 17 with a home game versus West Virginia Tech. Kickoff at Highmark Stadium is 2 p.m. Tuesday's game will be broadcast live on the Point Park Sports Network WATCH LIVE
