Rec Center Policies

ADMISSION

Point Park students, faculty, staff and alumni are permitted to use the Recreation Center. Upon entry to the Rec Center, patrons must have their Point Park identification scanned at the door. Those who do not have a valid ID card may not use the facility. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are NOT permitted to bring guests.

ATTIRE

All participants are required to wear proper athletic clothing and attire while working out. Jeans, jean shorts, belts, etc. will not be permitted. Athletic shoes are required in all workout areas.

Open-toed shoes, boots, and shoes with metal buckles are prohibited. Shirts that cover the chest and back must be worn in all workout areas. Participants not wearing proper attire or attire found to be offensive to others will need to adjust as needed or leave the facility.

CONDUCT

  • Particpants are not permitted to use food or beverages in the facility
  • Use of tobacco is prohibited
  • Patrons must wipe down seats, handles and bars after each usage of machines
  • Usage of cardio machines is limited to 30 minutes if others are waiting
  • Patrons must bring their own head phones in order to hear audio from the TVs on the cardio equipment.

Lost or stolen items

The Point Park Recreation Center is not responsible for lost of stolen iteams. Men's and women's locker rooms are available on a daily use basis. Locks can be placed on the lockers, but patrons must remove the locks after each usage.
