With the calendar year of 2012 in the books, so are the voting results for the #PioneerTop10of2012, a Twitter poll voting on the top Pioneer stories of the calendar year 2012. The poll was conducted entirely on Twitter, and the results are posted below.

The Point Park athletic department determined the Top 10 stories for the calendar year 2012 as those story nominees listed at the bottom of this page. The final order of the Top 10 was determined by Twitter users tweeting @PointParkSports with the hashtag #PioneerTop10of2012 and the story of their choice (Ex: #PPUBaseball).

Voting was open Dec. 21 to Dec. 28. The results were first announced Dec. 28 via Twitter.

The voting results showed Point Park baseball (#PPUBaseball) as the top vote-getter and the Top Pioneer Story of 2012 as decided by fans on Twitter. The Pioneers were 53-11 and finished 5th at the NAIA World Series with a school record for wins and No. 6 final ranking in the NAIA Top 25.

The No. 2 story for the #PioneerTop10of2012 was Point Park women's basketball (#PPUWBB), which made the NAIA Division II national tournament for the first time as AMC Tournament champs and had a school record for wins at 23-7 overall.

Coming in at No. 3 on the list was Point Park men's soccer (#PPUMsoc) after its first-ever trip to the NAIA national tournament and its KIAC/GCAC Tournament championship at 11-7 overall and 4-0 KIAC.

Finishing at No. 4 in the voting was Point Park women's soccer (#PPUWsoc) with its best season ever at 10-8-1 overall, a school record for wins and an appearnce in the KIAC Tournament finals.

Placing at No. 5 was Point Park volleyball (#PPUVB), which had another strong year at 30-10 overall, 9-1 KIAC with its first national ranking ever at No. 24 in the NAIA and a trip to the KIAC Tournament championship match.

Only the top-five vote getters were tabulated. The rest of the nominees are listed below in order of occurrence.
