Point Park women's cross country places 6th of 12 teams at Waynesburg Invitational

WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Point Park University women's cross country team placed 6th of 12 teams at the Waynesburg Invitational Saturday.

Justine Michael and Lindsay Dill led the Pioneers in the 6K race. Michael finished in 30th place with a time of 25:55 while Dill followed close behind in 31st place and a time of 25:59. Sarah Austin came in 34th place at 26:19.

Martine Saul set a career-best time for a 6K with a time of 27:53, good for 51st place. That time cut over two minutes off her previous best time in a 6K race.

Carina Jollie finished in 28:00 followed by Leah Bubeck (30:15) and Keri Rouse (30:37).

After taking next weekend off, the Pioneers visit the St. Vincent Invitational Sept. 25.
