Three opponents changed for Fairmont St. tourney

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Three of Point Park's opponents have been changed for the upcoming Fairmont St. tourney (Sept. 3-4). The Pioneers will face Notre Dame (OH), Chowan and Edinboro instead of West Liberty, Glenville St. and Concord. The fourth match versus host Fairmont St. remains the same

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- The Point Park volleyball team won 1 of 2 matches Saturday on the final day of the Shawnee St. tourney. The Pioneers (3-2) swept winless West Virginia Tech, but they lost, 3-2, to unbeaten Northwestern Ohio.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Point Park split two volleyball matches Friday at the Shawnee State tournament, and senior Ashley Zietak surpassed the 1,000-career kill milestone for the Pioneers. Point Park swept Lindsey Wilson and lost to NAIA No. 19 Shawnee State, 3-0.

RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- Point Park University opened its 2010 volleyball season Thursday with a 3-0, non-conference win at Rio Grande. The Pioneers won, 28-26, 25-19, 25-22, and they visit the Shawnee St. tourney this weekend.
