PITTSBURGH – Point Park University volleyball head coach Mike Bruno announced this week that Kyleigh Whitsel and Nicole Wurstle have signed with the Pioneers, and that the club teammates from Ohio will be freshmen this fall.

“Nicole and Kyleigh are quality student-athletes who are great additions to our program,” said Bruno, who completed his fifth season as Point Park head coach last year. “Our only graduating senior from last year was a middle hitter, and Nicole fills a need to add to that position. And Kyleigh gives us depth at setter and on defense.”
The Pioneers are coming off their most successful season in school history. Point Park returns all but one player from last year’s team, which was 32-8 and earned a berth in the championship match of the American Mideast Conference tournament. Point Park is an NAIA member located in downtown Pittsburgh.
