Point Park libero Dalliard named KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week Sept. 1-7

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University libero Tabea Dalliard was named the KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week Sept. 1-7, 2014, highlighting the Pioneers' 4-0 week on the court.
Dalliard, a freshman from Morel-Filet, Switzerland, had a great week in the back row with 44 digs in four matches. Her serve-receive was nearly flawless with only one receiving error in 55 attempts on the week for a receive percentage of .982.
Defense was a key for Point Park's big week, which included a 3-0 showing in the KIAC and a 3-0 sweep to claim the tournament title at the Battle of the Boulevard that it co-hosted with Carlow.
Dalliard's biggest match included 18 digs verus KIAC foe IU Southeast in a 3-0 win. She also posted 10 digs versus Lawrence Tech and eight each versus Carlow and Cincinnati Christian. Dalliard currently ranks 47th in the NAIA with a team-high 147 digs.
Point Park returns to action Tuesday night, Sept. 9 with a home match versus NCAA Division II Edinboro. Match time is 7 p.m. in the Student Center Gym. WATCH LIVE on the Point Park Sports Network on Team 1 Sports.com.
