Profile: Jones enjoyed a strong redshirt freshman season last year before a head injury forced her to miss the final 10 games. She started all 15 games prior to that and gave the Pioneers a strong post presence at 10.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She is Point Park’s top returning rebounder. Now in her third season in the program, Jones has the potential to develop into a player who consistently posts double-doubles.
2008-09: Jones had four double-doubles last year and had two straight to end her season. Jones scored a career-high 21 points and had 10 rebounds at Cedarville (Nov. 14). She had 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds vs. Notre Dame (OH).
2007-08: Was redshirted in her first season at Point Park.
High school: A 2007graduate of West Mifflin High School…was a four-year letter winner…a two-time WPIAL all-section player…was a Pittsburgh Tribune Review Class AAA second-team all-star…averaged 13.0 points as a junior and 11.0 points as a senior.
Personal: Born Aug. 23, 1989…daughter of Talana Jones…majoring in sports, arts and entertainment management.
