Profile: Peterkin has developed into a strong post presence on both ends of the floor after a breakout year in 2010-11. She nearly doubled her production in points and rebounds with career highs of 10.5 ppg and 8.1 rpg last year as a junior. She is in her third year at Point Park after spending her freshman season at Carlow. Peterkin is the all-time leader in career and single-season blocked shots at Point Park with 129 in her career and 77 in 2010-11. She was named All-AMC Honorable Mention last year and will be looked to for continued post production on offense and defense.
2010-11: Peterkin was named All-AMC Honorable Mention with 10.5 ppg, 8.1 apg and 2.9 bpg. She started all 27 games in her first year as a full-time starter. Peterkin posted five double-doubles, and she was in double figures in scoring 16 of 27 games. She had a career-high 20 points at Cedarville. Her career high of 15 rebounds went along with 15 points at Wilberforce.
2009-10: Peterkin played in all 27 games and made 12 starts as a sophomore in 2009-10. Peterkin alternated the starting role with teammate Terrica Jones. She averaged 5.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 16.5 minutes per game. She reached double figures in scoring four times including a season-high 15 points and six blocks on 7 of 10 shooting at Northwestern Ohio. Another big game was 13 points and nine rebounds on 5 of 9 shooting at Notre Dame (OH). Her season high of 11 rebounds came vs. Roberts Wesleyan.
2008-09 (at Carlow): Peterkin averaged 9.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game in her freshman season at Carlow. She played 11 games for the Celtics before missing the second semester. Her final game was Dec. 13, and at that time she was among the AMC leaders in rebounds and blocks. Peterkin recorded three double-doubles in 11 games. She had a career-high 20 points along with 14 rebounds vs. Penn State-Beaver. Peterkin had a career-high 17 rebounds to go with 14 point and six blocks vs. Ursuline. In a loss to Point Park, she had eight points, 14 rebounds and three blocks (Nov. 18).
High school: Peterkin was a two-time WPIAL all-section first teamer at West Mifflin. She was named to the Daily News Fabulous 15 team in 2007-08 when she led the Titans to the WPIAL Class-AAA title game. She averged 10.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.6 blocks per game that year.
