PITTSBURGH -- Point Park University women's basketball coach Tony Grenek has named a familiar face to be the assistant coach on his staff. Grenek, who was hired to lead the Pioneers in May, has announced the hiring of former Seton Hill University captain Ryenn Micaletti as his top aide.

Micaletti, from New Castle, Pa., played for Seton Hill the last four years when Grenek was there serving as the top assistant coach to Ferne Labati. Micaletti, a former 5-7 guard for the Griffins, started every game last year as a senior point guard and team captain. She helped Seton Hill to a 22-7 record in 2010-11 and a 23-8 record and a trip to the NCAA Division II national tournament the year before.

"I am honored to have Ryenn (pronounced Ryan) Micaletti on my coaching staff," said Grenek. "I recruited her to Seton Hill, and I was fortunate to coach her for four years. She's a winner, and more importantly, a great person who I know will be loyal to this program. Her persona and the accolades that she earned over her career are what I want our student-athletes here at Point Park to emulate."

Micaletti averaged 4.5 points per game last year as Seton Hill's point guard. She majored in history and carried a 3.76 GPA. Micaletti made the Dean's List six times and was a NCAA Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award winner.

Micaletti is a 2007 graduate of New Castle High School where she led her team to WPIAL titles in 2004 and 2007. Micaletti was a three-year team captain at New Castle and was a part of four WPIAL Section championships.
