Point Park (13-4, 6-3 KIAC) put a stop to a minor, two-game losing streak by getting 30 points off its bench led by junior forward Anna Shaw with career-highs of 14 points and 13 rebounds. The 6-0 native of Mingo Junction, Ohio, had 12 points and five rebounds by halftime, when the Pioneers were up, 39-27.

The Pioneers had all 11 healthy players see action with nine reaching the scoring and all 11 getting at least two rebounds. Nobody played more than 24 minutes for the Pioneers, who took control with an 11-0 run for a 26-10 lead with 7:45 left in the first half.

Point Park led by as many as 17 in the first half and had the game well in hand with its biggest lead of 21 points, 57-36, with 6:18 remaining.

Maine-Fort Kent (8-7) is a former member of the NAIA whose previous conference, the Sunrise Conference, folded after the 2011-12 year. The Bengals had Jennifer Colpitts with 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Sam Carapellucci added 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Point Park's starters rested in the second half, and none of them played more than six minutes after halftime. UMFK closed the final gap to 13 points, although the game was never in doubt for the Pioneers.

Katresa Savisky totaled nine points and eight rebounds in 16 minutes. Teresa Davis added eight points and four rebounds in 17 minutes. Emily Schartner chipped in seven points and four blocks in 15 minutes.

The Point Park defense held UMFK to 28-percent shooting including 22 perecnt (4 for 18) from outside the arc. The Pioneers dominated the rebounds, 55-42.

The Pioneers will get back on the road for three KIAC road games this weekend. Point Park plays at Berea (Ky.) on Friday (6 p.m.), at Midway (Ky.) on Saturday (4 p.m.) and versus St. Louis College of Pharmacy at neutral site Midway, Ky., on Saturday (12 p.m.).

This weekend's trip finishes up a stretch in which the Pioneers are playing five of six games on the road. Those six games are happening in a 10-day span with five of them being in the state of Kentucky.
