PITTSBURGH --Point Park University women's basketball and head coach Tony Grenek have completed the 2015-16 recruiting class with the addition of transfer Devon Larkin from Westmoreland County Community College.
Larkin, from Greensburg, Pa., and Greensburg Central Catholic High School, is a 6-1 center who was an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American at WCCC. She will be a junior at Point Park in 2015-16.
"Devon brings a lot of positive qualities to our program," said coach Tony Grenek. "She has good size, she's a capable scorer with a solid mid-range game for her position, and she's a solid rebounder. She keeps herself in great shape, and we are counting on her to be a major contributor immediately."
Larkin averaged 21.2 points, 15.2 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game as a sophomore at WCCC to earn NJCAA All-American honors. She shot 56.4 percent from the field and led her team to the West Pac championship and the NJCAA regional finals.
Larkin is the all-time leading scorer at WCCC with 908 career points. In high school, she played basketball and volleyball for four years at Greensburg Central Catholic.
Point Park basketball is a member of NAIA Division II and the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Pioneers were 25-5 last year and are 102-24 (.809) under coach Grenek the last four years.
