MADISON, Ohio -- Point Park University placed 4th of 4 teams at the AMC Women's Golf Championship Tournament April 12 at Madison Country Club. Rowan Lewis placed 14th individually to lead the Pioneers.

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- The Point Park University women's golf team finished 2nd of 3 teams Thursday at the Notre Dame (OH) Invitational. Rowan Lewis and Allison Kucson led the Pioneers by each shooting 118. Taylor Cormas shot 125, and Ashley Funkhouser had a 136.

PITTSBURGH -- Point Park Univ. women's golf coach Gabe Bubon announced the signings for incoming freshmen Caroline Collins and Lauren Martauz, a pair of players who will join the Pioneers squad in the fall of 2011.

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Point Park women's golf team competed Saturday at the Grove City Invitational. Taylor Cormas led the Pioneers with a 123 and Rowan Lewis had a 124 at Grove City Country Club. Allison Kucson shot 147, and Ashley Funkhouser had 150.

LATROBE, Pa. -- The Point Park women's golf team opened its fall season Friday by finishing 3rd of 4 teams at the St. Vincent Invitational. Freshman Taylor Cormas (Norwin) led the Pioneers with a 112 at Glengarry Golf Links. Rowan Lewis (Mt. Lebanon) shot 121 followed by Ashley Funkhouser (Pleasant Hills) with a 130 and Allison Kucson (New Jersey) at 140.

Point Park adds golf program for fall 2009

Point Park Director of Athletics Dan Swalga was pleased to announce Monday that Point Park will be adding a men's and women's golf team for the fall of 2009. The Pioneers had a brief history of men's golf from 1966-72, and they will have women's golf team for a first time.

Gabe Bubon named Point Park golf coach

Gabe Bubon was named the head coach of the Point Park men's and women's golf teams on Monday. Bubon, who is also a men's basketball assistant coach for the Pioneers, is excited about getting the golf programs going.
