Point Park falls to Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Point Park lost to Cedarville, 5-1, Saturday in an American Mideast Conference women's soccer match.

Point Park (4-9-4 overall, 1-8-3 AMC) fell behind 3-0 after 11:44, but cut it to, 3-1, with JoJo Altebrando's unassisted goal in the 21st minute. Altebrando (Montoursville/Montoursville), pictured left, scored on a free kick from 25 yards out.

Cedaville, which held an 18-3 advantage in shots, led 3-1 at halftime before putting the game out of reach in the second half.

Emily Tomalewski (Pittsburgh/Chartiers Valley) and Liz Velez (Edinboro/General McLane) each made four saves in 45 minutes in goal for Point Park.

Point Park finishes its season Monday at Notre Dame (4 p.m.) in an AMC match.
