Amanda Munsch, a native of Chautauqua Lake, N.Y., is in her third year as an assistant coach for the Point Park University women's soccer. She joined the staff in the spring of 2011 shortly after finishing her playing career at nearby Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa. While at Geneva, also a former member of the AMC and the NAIA, Munsch was a four-year starter and was a team captain her senior year. For Geneva she had 16 goals, nine assists, and 41 points as a central midfielder.
Munsch's career at Geneva included numerous academic awards including being named a National Christian College Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete. While studying abroad in Seville, Spain, she had the opportunity to train for the semester with the Spanish La Liga regional team CD Híspalis.
Munsch has helped lead the Point Park Pioneers to their first winning season in 2012 when they came in second in their conference and went to the KIAC Tournament championship game.
She has a USSF D Coaching License and has trained both U13 and U11 groups for Youth Elite Soccer, the official camps and training partner of the Chicago Fire soccer club.
