Point Park Women's T&F ends season at Allegheny College Meet

Jahniah McAllister set two school records on Friday at the Allegheny Meet.
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Point Park University women's outdoor track and field had its season come to a close Friday at the Allegheny College Invitational. It was the last meet of the first-ever year of Pioneers track and field.
Point Park's day was highlighted by Jahniah McAllister setting school records in the 100-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles. The freshman from Gateway High School, who was named the Team MVP for the inaugural season, established records of 12.55 seconds in the 100 meters and 15.98 seconds in the 100 hurdles.
Senior jumper Vianka Cotton set a school record in the triple jump. She finished fourth with a leap of 10.74 meters to beat her own previous record of 10.43 meters.
Cotton also competed in the long jump with a distance of 4.51 meters. Darian Leighty posted a mark of 4.30 meters in the long jump.
Freshman distance runner Katie Guarnaccia took fourth place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:20. In the 200 meters, Amber Brown came in ninth with a time of 27.50 seconds, which was right in front of Olukemi Olugbakinro at 27.51 seconds.
Point Park's 4x100-meter relay team of McAllister, Brown, Taelor Fowler and Chereese Langley placed fifth with a time of 50.70 seconds.
