Assistant Professor – Accounting
Responsibilities include teaching traditional on-ground, online, and hybrid courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily in Financial, Auditing, Systems, Tax, and Managerial Accounting. The normal course load is twelve credits for each of the fall and spring semesters. Faculty will engage in professional development to continually improve and to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
The faculty member will also have responsibilities for advising students and assisting with achieving retention goals, supporting efforts to promote and sustain experiential learning initiatives, and service to the University through participation on Faculty committees or councils.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Accounting or be an ABD near completion from an AACSB accredited school. Candidates must be committed to teaching excellence and effective pedagogic and communications skills are required. Experience teaching and supporting students in a cooperative education program is preferred. Candidates must be able to fully engage with students and other stakeholders.
Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated start date is fall 2015 and dependent upon final budgetary approval.
