Assistant Professor – Information Technology

Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks an Assistant Professor – Information Technology to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, primarily in networking, security, business analytics, and programming.  The faculty member will also have responsibilities for student advising, research, and service to the University and business community.

Must have a Ph.D. in Information Technology or a related field from a comprehensive doctoral degree granting institution as defined by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education plus five (5) years of experience in a software development, business analytics, or data mining position.

Experience must include: (i) programming using high-level programming languages such as Java and C++; (ii) continued scholarly activity; (iii) web design/administration including creation of navigation systems and use of web analytics; and (iv) practical application of information science theory or decision support tools to solve practical business problems.
