Assistant Professor of Intelligence and National Security
Point Park University invites applications for a full-time assistant professor position in its Criminal Justice and Intelligence Studies department to begin in Fall 2013. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a field directly related to intelligence and national security such as security studies, intelligence studies, foreign affairs, international relations, political science or homeland security. The candidate should also have prior teaching experience in an academic institution as well as professional experience in the field of intelligence or national security and a practical understanding of the U.S. national security process and/or the U.S. intelligence community. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent, enthusiastic teaching and student advocacy; ability to work cooperatively and productively with faculty, staff and students; commitment to productivity and professional development; and ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning. Responsibilities will include teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate level intelligence courses, curricular development of a graduate program in intelligence and national security, and active participation in departmental and university governance.
