Journalism and Mass Communication Tenure-Track (Rank Open) (Position 2 of 2)

Point Park University’s School of Communication is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in Journalism & Mass Communication, to begin the Fall of 2012.  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in broadcast and online disciplines, media law and possibly media ethics.  The successful candidate must be qualified to chair graduate thesis committees and supervise independent studies as well as perform other faculty responsibilities such as research, student advising, and service.  Rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience.

Requirements

A doctoral degree in a communication field is required, as is substantial professional media experience, demonstrated familiarity with journalism and new media platforms, and university teaching experience.
