Assistant Professor in Behavioral Sciences

The Position:

Full-time, Tenure-track Position in Behavioral Sciences, Humanities and Human Sciences Department.
The work will begin in fall semester 2013 and will entail teaching a variety of behavioral sciences courses and developing the curriculum for an undergraduate social work program.  Teaching load will be 4-4.  This program serves the entire university, but resides in the Humanities and Human Sciences Department.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in social work or sociology, clinical experience in social work, and will be licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania. The candidate should be an excellent, highly motivated teacher, with expertise and/or research experience that has clinical relevance for mental health and well-being in communities. The candidate should be eager and prepared to work in a multidisciplinary environment with the opportunity to advance interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship. Expertise in qualitative research methods is preferred.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the curriculum for an undergraduate social work program, teaching a variety of behavioral sciences courses, and actively participating in departmental and university governance.
