The Theatre Department in the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University is seeking a full-time assistant professor specializing in movement for the actor. This is a tenure–track appointment beginning in the Fall of 2015. Applicants must have a terminal degree or its equivalent. Experience teaching at the University level and evidence of ongoing creative work are preferred. The ideal candidate will have Certifications and/or extensive training and experience in one or more recognized movement systems: Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Viewpoints, Laban, Suzuki, Period Styles, Mask, Clown, Commedia, Physical Theatre and Stage Combat. We are looking for a colleague with imagination and expertise to join a collaborative faculty in developing an eight-semester movement curriculum in conjunction with our newly revised BA and BFA Acting and Musical Theater degrees. Additional duties include advising and recruitment, as well as university and departmental committee service.
