Marketing/Advertising Tenure Track (Rank Open)
Point Park University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in marketing and advertising, to begin the Fall of 2014. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses for the university’s School of Communication and the School of Business Sports, Arts and Entertainment Management program, concentrating on emerging and social media applications to advertising and marketing plus courses in advertising copywriting, sales, branding and strategic planning. Also, courses may include advertising/public relations theory and writing. The successful candidate must be qualified to chair graduate thesis committees and supervise independent studies as well as perform other faculty responsibilities such as research, student advising, and service. Rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience.
A terminal degree in a communication field, demonstrated familiarity with journalism and new media platforms, and university teaching experience are required; substantial professional media experience is preferred. ABD candidates will be considered.
