Visiting Artist - Editing

CINEMA AND DIGITAL ARTS - Temporary Full-time Post-Production Faculty One full-time, non-tenure track position available to begin in August 2013.

The Cinema & Digital Arts Department at Point Park University offers an undergraduate cinema production program, animation program and screenwriting program, which focuses on narrative storytelling and stresses collaboration and specialization.  The Cinema and Digital Arts department has over 250 full-time students and is part of the Conservatory of Performing Arts, along with departments in Theatre and Dance. The successful applicant will teach introductory, intermediate and advanced editing courses, primarily to our cinema production students and will teach on FCP, Premiere and Avid.  Special consideration will be given to candidates with a background editing in the narrative format such as features, television and documentaries.  Additionally, experience with After Effects is a plus.

Requirements:  An MFA or other appropriate terminal degree in film production or a related field is desired. The ideal candidate will also have professional experience and a record of teaching at the university level.
