POSITION: Accounts Payable Clerk (part-time)
REPORTS TO: Accounts Payable Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Business Office
REQUIREMENTS: Associate degree, or equivalent experience and post-secondary course work, including at least six credits of accounting, preferred. High school degree required. A minimum of one year experience in accounting, accounts payable and data-entry functions; experience with computers preferred (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Access).
SCHEDULE: 21 hours per week (Tuesday-Thursday)
Responsible for all processing aspects of accounts payable to include reviewing and verifying invoices, data entry, generating checks, and producing applicable reports.
- Process all checks, except payroll, and all related tasks including the entering of information, scheduling payments, running and verifying all related reports, including edits, check registers, and journal entries.
- Match purchase orders, packing slips and invoices, while assisting the Accounts Payable Supervisor with any discrepancies.
- Serve as main backup/support to Accounts Payable Supervisor and to work-study students.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
