Assistant Coordinator of Student Programming

POSITION: Assistant Coordinator of Student Programming

DEPARTMENT: Office of Student Life, Office of Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership

REPORTS TO: Director of Student Activities, Involvement, and Leadership and Director of Student Conduct

REQUIREMENTS: This position is regular, part-time; Average of 22 hours a week with mostly evening and weekend hours; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, and Power Point; Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; Prior experience in student involvement or program planning at the undergraduate or graduate level; A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred


  1. Plan, coordinate, and assess night and weekend programming.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and assess educational and alternative programming as part of the alcohol and other drug prevention initiative.
  3. Direct and manage student workers on programming initiatives.
  4. Plan marketing and promotions of programming initiatives, including the use of various social media outlets and Orgsync.
  5. Develop Departmental communications including brochures, flyers, and annual reports.
  6. Assist in the oversight of the programming budget and oversee program-related expenditures and revenue.
  7. Supervise student workers in their responsibilities during evening and weekend hours.
  8. Assist in the management and upkeep of facilities related to programming, including the various equipment within.
  9. Perform routine walkthroughs of programming areas to inspect for damages and maintenance needs.
  10. Open &/or close programming areas when on duty.
  11. Other duties as assigned.
