Coordinator of Student Programming

Title:                 Coordinator of Student Programming (Part-time)

Department:  Office of Campus Life

Reports to:      Director of Student Activities

Minimum requirements:

  • This is a one year appointment with review;
  • 20 hours a week split between office, evening and weekend commitments;
  • Participation in Administrative Duty Rotation, to include nightly and weekly on call duties;
  • Strong interest in working with students
  • Experience in event management;
  • Experience in marketing and promotions;  
  • Candidates must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the willingness to work and communicate effectively with diverse populations and as a team. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Power Point and Adobe Photoshop;
  • A Bachelors Degree is required and applicants must be enrolled in a leadership education, higher education administration, business or related graduate program.
  • Core competencies:  Communication, Planning, Student Learning, Intercultural Proficiency

JOB DUTIES:

  1. Responsible for arrangements, planning, marketing, proposals and evaluation for student related programming to include, but not limited to, Welcome Week, USA Today Readership Program, shuttle service, & seasonal programs/activities;
  2. Oversees program-related expenditures and revenue to include but not limited to the Readership Program, all shuttle service, various Student Activities Programs and all Student Activities printing related costs;
  3. Provides on-site supervision of events and activities;
    • Supervise student workers whose responsibilities will include but not limited to a practicum, community service, and marketing;
    • Assist in the development and implementation of events with the Campus Activities Board as a secondary advisor;
    • Supervise all Student Activities related marketing;
    • Process and maintain records of online requests;
    • Other duties as assigned.  

Remuneration:

  • $10/hour
  • 20 hours a week
  • On campus staff apartment with kitchen
  • 14 meal plan included
