About Point Park University
Point Park is a comprehensive, master's-level university with a strong liberal arts tradition, and is located in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh. Point Park currently enrolls 3,827 full- and part-time students in 85 undergraduate programs and 13 graduate programs offered through its School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Communication and Conservatory of Performing Arts. Its students represent 48 states and 42 countries.

About Our Graduates
According to the most recent survey of Point Park graduates, 80 percent are currently employed.
Point Park alumni from the Schools of Business and Arts and Sciences have served as executives in the banking, entertainment, engineering technology, education, sports and media industries, and a number of other businesses and nonprofits. In addition, our Conservatory of Performing Arts has sent hundreds of alumni to roles on both stage and screen across the country. We have several alumni who work in executive positions for the Pittsburgh Penguins, including both the Vice President of Communication and the Vice President of Business Partnerships. The CEO of Fox Chase Bank is a Point Park graduate, as is the director of humanitarian affairs for the United Nations. Our long-strong School of Communication programs also boast a number of well-placed alumni who are working for print and broadcast media outlets around the country.
Point Park University is the driving force behind the Academic Village Initiative reshaping the campus neighborhood. With ten buildings and additional properties that run from the Monongahela River to Forbes Avenue along the Wood Street corridor, the University has one of the largest footprints in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Point Park University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and complies with all regulations of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The University’s specialized program accreditations are listed below:
- Programs leading to a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in civil, clectrical and mechanical engineering technology are accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ABET, www.abet.org).
- Programs leading to a Master of Business Administration degree, to a Bachelor of Science Post Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Business Management and Human Resource Management, to a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Business Management, Business, Economics and Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Technology & Management (accelerated) and Sport, Arts and Entertainment Management, to a Bachelor of Science Capstone in Human Resource Management with concentrations in compliance/legal or strategic planning/management, to a Bachelor of Science Capstone in Management Services, to an Associate in Science degree in Accounting and Business Management are accredited by the International Assembly of Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
- Programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and to the Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD).
- Programs leading to certification in all education programs are approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
