About The Point

As the University’s flagship publication, The Point is intended to communicate with a wide audience, from alumni who have moved on from their alma mater to prospective students who are curious about college life in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Point is mailed to approximately 24,000 alumni and friends of the University each fall, winter and spring. In addition, more than 1,000 copies of the magazine are distributed via display racks in such campus locations as Academic Hall, Frontier Hall, Lawrence Hall, West Penn Hall, the Pittsburgh Playhouse, the Student Center and the University Center. The pages of The Point are meant to tell the many stories of alumni, faculty, staff and students, and foster a positive connection with the University.
