Dear fellow alumni,
Serving as your president of the board for our Alumni Association over the past eight years has been a true honor and privilege. As I conclude my tenure as president and reflect upon the past, there have been some significant milestones experienced by Point Park. Here are only a few: the transition from a college to a University; seeing the baton pass from President Katherine Henderson to President Paul Hennigan; the creation of the Green and Gold Society; working with incredibly talented Alumni Relations staff; attending commencement and countless others.
Over these many years, being surrounded by enormously talented fellow alumni has been a very humbling experience. There is nothing that the board will not be able to accomplish in the future with the leaders currently involved and those yet to come. The ideas, commitment and creativity shared by board members has helped me to see not only what Point Park alumni are capable of, but more importantly, who they are capable of becoming both personally and professionally.
With the Academic Village beginning to take shape throughout the University, now is the time for all of us to become involved. So, contact the Alumni Relations office at 412-392-4750 and let them know how they can utilize your talents! Leaving the board does not mean leaving the Alumni Association, so I look forward to seeing and meeting my fellow alumni at University events.
Have a great 2011!
