Dean Tim Hudson recently returned from Belgrade, Serbia where he addressed the faculty of Singidunum University's School of Media and Communication on the subject of "new technology in journalism education." Hudson also presented guest lectures in several classes at the University of Belgrade, the University of Novi Sad, and the Belgrade Academy of Arts, on the topics of: "objectivity v. interpretation in reporting," "the roots of reality television in international documentary film," and "the importance of multi-camera production techniques in a television directing curriculum."

In October associate professors Heather Starr Fiedler and Johan Yssel traveled to Krakow, Poland for the Global Communication Association's annual conference, "Globalization, Culture and Education in the Information Age," and presented papers on Point Park University's School of Communication curriculum.
