Community Mentors

Sophomore Direction

Community mentors — most often called CMs — are upper level students who have been hired based upon their level of maturity and social skills.  CMs live with sophomores and create programs and events to help them to successfully transition from their first year of college to the personal growth opportunities of their second year.

CMs use The Sophomore Experience to help students hone their educational and career path, from offering activities that get you involved with Career Development (sharpening your resume, workshops to strengthen your interview skills) to social events and Mystery Trips to interesting places in the region.

They also encourage sophomore students’ participation with the campus community, making them aware of campus events and activities.
