Jan-Mitchell Sherrill
Associate Dean of Campus Life

Sherrill oversees the Office of Campus Life to ensure that on-campus living, campus activities and the overall operations of the office are functioning well. He also supervises the Career Development Center and serves in the University's emergency on-call system.

Michael Gieseke
Senior Assistant Dean of Campus Life

Gieseke manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of Campus Life, which includes campus housing, judicial affairs, student activities and alcohol and other drug education. He is highly involved with students, including co-advising the United Student Government, and serves in the University's emergency on-call system.

Janet Evans
Assistant Dean and Director of Housing Occupancy Management

Evans places all students in their residence hall assignments and works closely with housekeeping and the physical plant departments to ensure the upkeep of the buildings. She receives all housing contracts and roommate requests and strives to ensure the best possible placement for each student.

Natalie Taylor
Director of Residential Co-Curricular Education

Taylor manages the community directors and assistant community directors within Point Park's Living and Learning Communities (freshmen) and The Sophomore Experience (second-year students). She oversees the training and development of the Office of Campus Life housing staff, and works with other University departments, including public safety, food service and physical plant, to ensure the highest quality living experience for students in the residence halls.

Brad Kovalcik
Coordinator of Student Activities

Kovalchik oversees all student programming and activities on campus. He advises the Campus Activities Board, helping students plan activities on and off campus. He also works with all student organizations and clubs at Point Park.

JW Tabacchi
Director of Judicial Affairs

Tabacchi works directly with any student who is involved with the University’s non-academic judicial system, including behavioral and public safety issues. He works across the University to resolve non-academic issues and handles all student/parent inquiries associated with the judicial system.

Amanda McGuire
Community Director
Living & Learning Communities

McGuire oversees programming for Point Park’s Living and Learning Communities, which are freshmen residential living communities.  She works closely with the freshmen living on campus  to ensure they have a happy and healthy living experience. McGuire supervises an assistant community director and manages the community facilitators, who live on the freshmen floors. She acts as an administrator-on-duty, serving in a rotation that provides 24/7 coverage of the residence halls. 

Matthew Richardson
Community Director
The Sophomore Experience

Richardson oversees programming for The Sophomore Experience (for second-year students living in the residence halls), working to help sophomore residents transition and grow as they advance within the University. Likewise, he oversees all programming resources for juniors and seniors living on campus. Along with supervising an assistant community director, Richardson manages the community mentors and advisors, who live in the sophomore housing area. He acts as an administrator-on-duty, serving in a rotation that provides 24/7 coverage of the residence halls.

Toni Gall
Secretary of Housing and Occupancy Management

Gall assists the assistant dean of housing occupancy management and the Office of Campus Life staff with many housing questions and issues, such as room changes, move-in and move-out, housing contracts and deposits. Gall, along with the office assistants, is the initial face and voice of the Office of Campus Life when students and parents connect with the office.

Annie Cassin
Alcohol and Other Drug Education

Through programs and events, Cassin works to educate the entire campus about alcohol and other drugs. These programs are meant to help students understand the effects alcohol and drugs can have, and to help students make appropriate decisions. Cassin works closely with the offices of student activities and judicial affairs.

Trista Shideler 
Coordinator of Student Programming

Shideler is a graduate student in the Office of Student Activities. She works closely with the coordinator of student activities and oversees on-campus programming.

Nathalie Burford
Assistant Community Director

Burford is a graduate student working to obtain her master’s degree in higher education. She works closely with the community director for The Sophomore Experience. Burford helps to provide programming for sophomores living on campus and helps to co-supervise the community mentors. She acts as an administrator-on-duty serving in a rotation to provide 24/7 coverage of the residence halls.

McDermott is a graduate student working to obtain her master’s degree in higher education. She works closely with the community director for Living and Learning Communities to provide large-scale programs for freshmen living on campus. She also helps to co-supervise the community facilitators. She acts as an administrator-on-duty serving in a rotation to provide 24/7 coverage of the residence halls.

Pete Bridge
Office Manager

Bridge is a senior at Point Park University and oversees the day-to-day projects of the Office of Campus Life. Bridge supervises the office assistants and summer assistants throughout the year. He also coordinates the housing selection process for returning residents and helps the deans with various projects.

Special Assistants

Sulkowski and Schlegel are both seniors at Point Park University. They serve as assistants to the deans, helping them as needed in their day-to-day responsibilities, scheduling meetings and performing additional tasks.
