Parking
Point Park University obtains a variance for parking spaces that are as close as possible to the University residence halls. The parking meters will be marked with white cardboard “No Parking” signs. You will be given a “Parking Permit” to place on your dashboard so you will not have to pay for parking during the permitted parking times.
Please note that the parking variance is intended to give you sufficient time to unload your vehicle for the move in. It is not intended for “all day” or “all night” parking.
Although a number of parking spaces will be reserved, there may not be enough parking to accommodate the number of students who will be moving in at any given one time. For this reason, we ask that you unload your vehicle as quickly as possible and then move it to one of the off street parking garages or lots in the area.
Parking Restrictions
-
Please observe the following restrictions that are in effect Monday through Friday:
- Parking is not permitted from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on the Blvd. of the Allies, Ft. Pitt Blvd., First Avenue and Wood Street during “rush hour”. - Parking is restricted from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. on the University side of Third Avenue between Wood Street and Market Street for parents to drop off and pick up their children at the University’s Children’s School. - There is NO PARKING AT ANY TIME on the section of Wood Street that runs between Academic and Lawrence Halls (area from Third Avenue to the Blvd. of the Allies).

The University cannot get tickets issued by the Pittsburgh Police and/or Parking Authority rescinded.
