How did you land your position with MDLIVE, Inc.?

I landed my current position with the assistance of Career Counselor Santina Frazier and Professor Robert Fowler. Santina allowed me to use her office for my first phone interview. When I was selected for the next interview, which required Skype, she ordered me a laptop and scheduled a conference room for me. She also took the time to review my portfolio and practice interview questions with me to make sure I was ready.

Professor Fowler provided a recommendation for me to the CEO of the company with less than 48 hours of notice. I would not have been able to do any of these interviews or provide the requested documents without the support of Santina and Dr. Fowler.

Why did you choose Point Park for your undergrad and grad degrees in criminal justice?

What led me to choose Point Park for my undergraduate and graduate education were the small classroom sizes and the availability of Saturday classes. Additionally, the courses in offered in the Department of Criminal Justice and Intelligence Studies were applicable to my career interests.

How have your criminal justice classes helped you in your career?

My undergraduate courses in ethics and criminal investigations and my graduate courses focused in research, legal writing, policy and procedures have contributed to the necessary skills I've needed to be successful in the compliance field.

Do you have a favorite Point Park memory?

My favorite memories at Point Park are from graduate school. Dr. Fowler and Dr. Stein encouraged me to stay focused and finish my degree despite the unexpected situations that were occurring in my personal life at that time.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

I would like to say thank you to every professor who taught me throughout the years. I utilize the knowledge I gained at Point Park every day and try to help others along the way.
