How did you land your summer internship with Bayer?

I applied for the position online and landed an interview. A week before my interview, I met someone at Point Park who worked for Bayer and was scheduled to interview me. It turned out he earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology from Point Park and returned to the University to pursue his master's in engineering management. Dr. Keller introduced us to each other and I believe that helped me to get the internship.

What factors made you choose Point Park to study electrical engineering technology?

Many of my credits from community college transferred to Point Park and I knew that the University offered scholarships for good grades. Also, I read online really good things about Dr. Keller and Professor Kruth.

Describe the teaching style of Point Park's engineering technology professors.

Dr. Keller and Professor Kruth are very knowledgeable. They both genuinely care if students understand the material and will work one-on-one with those who need help. I believe Point Park is lucky to have them as part of their engineering faculty.

In what ways do you think this internship will help you reach your career goals?

This internship will help me reach my career goals because I am gaining valuable industry experience. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work done in the engineering world that cannot be taught in a classroom, and I believe this experience will give me an edge in finding a job after I graduate.
