Associate Professor and Chair Presents at Sport Management Conference

Steve Tanzilli, J.D., associate professor, chair and founder of the Department of Sports, Arts and Entertainment Management at Point Park University, presented May 30 on the topic “Representing Athletes off of the Field” at the 2014 North American Society for Sport Management Conference.
NASSM is actively involved in supporting and assisting professionals working in the fields of sport, leisure and recreation.
Tanzilli’s presentation at the conference was part of a professional development editorial panel session, which also featured Pittsburgh Penguins vice president James Santilli, who spoke about managing marketing in professional sports.
In addition to teaching at Point Park, Tanzilli also serves as president of Sports Legends Group, a full-service marketing, finance and law firm for professional athletes and celebrities. The Pittsburgh Triathlon and several Pittsburgh Steelers players are among his clients.
