Point Park University was recently ranked as having the fourth largest M.B.A. program in the Pittsburgh area by the Pittsburgh Business Times. This ranking was based on total enrollment for the 2011-2012 academic year. (Point Park's enrollment was 330).

According to Kathy Ballas, director of graduate and adult enrollment, Point Park's M.B.A. program continues to gain popularity, especially with people who are working in Downtown Pittsburgh.

"Point Park provides a quality program with the flexibility working adults need. The M.B.A. program has also recently been offered on-site for companies, providing additional employee convenience and the opportunity to tailor some course content and class discussion to the specific company's needs," explained Ballas.

The 36-credit M.B.A. program at Point Park offers accelerated, fast track, and traditional delivery formats and a choice of five concentrations:

  • Management;
  • International Business;
  • Management Information Systems;
  • Sport, Arts and Entertainment Management; and
  • Health Systems Management.

"At Point Park we strive to provide quality business education which integrates theory and real-world applications," said Archish Maharaja, Ed.D., assistant professor and director of the M.B.A. program. "Students appreciate this, and it is reflected in the strong standing of the program in the community.
