Point Park University will host its Third Annual "Meeting the Challenges of Ethical Leadership" Speakers Series on Thursday, September 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Lawrence Hall Ballroom.

Featured speakers include:

  • Timothy McGuire, Ph.D., Point Park University trustee and senior executive vice president, chief analytics officer and vice chairman for Management Science Associates, Inc.;
  • James Buddie, J.D., assistant general counsel and corporate ethics officer for Westinghouse Electric Company; and
  • Helen Sobehart, Ph.D., executive director of graduate education at Point Park.

Topics to be addressed include the meaning of ethics, how to ethically lead both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, ethical issues in corporate and nonprofit governance and the relationship between ethics and sustainability in for-profit and nonprofit organizations. An open discussion among the panel and audience members will follow the presentations.

Sponsored by the Department of Academic and Student Affairs, the Department of Global Management and Organization and James Haley, Ph.D., Point Park's H.J. Heinz Endowed Chair in Management, the event is free and open to anyone 21 years of age or over.

Complimentary wine and hors d'ouevres will be served. (Proper ID is required). Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
