2017 graduate Nicolette Jones and SAEM senior Ericka Thomas were selected to work in VIP at The Total Package Tour concert at PPG Paints Arena July 1, featuring New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men.

"My favorite part of working any VIP program is meeting the super fans. This crowd had a lot of fans who made their own t-shirts and were fans of the artists since day one," Thomas said.

Jones added: "It was great to be able to work alongside VIP Nation Road Representative Anthony Jones, who was on tour with the groups and watch as he had the entire meet and greet process down to a science."

According to SAEM Associate Professor Ed Traversari, M.B.A., the opportunities afforded to Point Park University SAEM students by AEG at PPG Paints Arena have been invaluable.

"Many of our students focusing in live entertainment management want to work with touring bands so this is a perfect opportunity for them to get a behind-the-scenes look, plus make some great connections," Traversari explained.

Point Park SAEM students and alumni have worked at many concerts and other events in Pittsburgh within the past couple of years, including those listed below.
