How did your SAEM degree help you land a position with the Orlando Magic?

I do not think I could have landed a job with the NBA without Point Park. I loved that I was able to get to know all of my professors in the SAEM program on a personal level. They helped me so much along the way. I truly felt that they wanted to see me succeed in my career and that meant so much to me.

What inspired you to pursue a career in the sports field?

I originally intended to work in live music/entertainment management. However, during freshman year SAEM majors are required to do a job shadow assignment and I did mine with the Cleveland Cavaliers. I absolutely fell in love with the energy there so that's why I transitioned my career focus from music to sports management.

How did Point Park's faculty impact you?

Point Park University has the best faculty hands down, especially in the SAEM department! I loved that the faculty made an effort to get to know me well and help me apply for jobs.

What are your career goals?

I hope to one day be the director of corporate sponsorship for the Orlando Magic!

Final thoughts?

I cannot praise or thank enough the SAEM professors for their help and support! I feel so thankful to have landed a position with a professional NBA team right out of college. The Magic are an incredible organization that treats their employees so well. I truly am so lucky!
