Point Park University's Conservatory Dance Company presents Student Choreography Project, a diverse combination of student-choreographed works from 11 of the conservatory's most creative students. The students take the George Rowland White Performance Studio stage in the downtown dance complex Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

The show is completely student-produced; the choreographers have the responsibility of holding formal auditions, running rehearsals and making costume decisions. In addition, the show's lighting design is a collaborative effort with the conservatory's technical theatre majors.

Works presented as part of the program are regularly recognized at national festivals and awards, namely the American College Dance Festival Association.

Student Choreography Project opens Friday, Sept. 30, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 2. Performances will be held Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the performances are $18-$20; student tickets are $7-$8. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Pittsburgh Playhouse box office at 412-392-8000 or online at www.pittsburghplayhouse.com.
