Gino Pesi co-stars in 'Battle: Los Angeles'

Former acting major and Pittsburgh-area native Gino Anthony Pesi is gearing up for the March 11 worldwide release of his latest and most notable feature film, Battle: Los Angeles. Pesi plays Corporal Nick Stavrou, one of the main marines in the film, co-starring alongside Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan, Cory Hardrict, and Ne-Yo among others.

Recently, Pesi secured a three-movie deal with Sony Pictures. In addition to Battle: Los Angeles, Pesi had a leading role in the feature film S.W.A.T.: Firefight (March 2011 video release) and a supporting role in the feature film Takers, which starred Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen and Matt Dillon, and was number one at the box office its opening weekend. Pesi talked about his experience filming Battle: Los Angeles in an interview with ShockTillYouDrop.com and live from the red carpet with buzzinefilm.com.

In addition, Pesi has had numerous appearances on some of TV's hottest shows including the recurring role of Maddox on The Vampire Diaries. He's also guest-starred on NCIS, CSI: NY (with Point Park alumna Melina Kanakaredes), Cold Case, Chuck and What I Like About You.

Pesi visited with senior Conservatory students last spring and took time to talk about his artistic journey, the film and getting his start at Point Park.
