Check Point Park information sources for updates on class schedules, locations Friday, March 12, 2010
With flooding forecast for Downtown Pittsburgh starting Friday, March 12, the University asks all faculty and students, especially those attending classes on Saturday, March 13, to regularly check the Point Park Web site for any updates on class schedules and/or locations.
The University is carefully monitoring weather conditions and will promptly communicate any changes in campus operations via our usual information channels:
- www.pointpark.edu home page, under the What's Happening section
- PointALERT notifications; register to have information sent to your cell phone
- Point Park's main phone line, 412-391-4100
- Point Park's Facebook page
- Point Park's Twitter page/feed
In all situations, personal safety is of paramount consideration. Students, faculty and staff are to exercise appropriate caution and good judgment based upon the weather and street conditions in their areas and Downtown.
We ask faculty to contact your students directly if you are unable to hold your class(es) as scheduled. Students who feel that they cannot safely come Downtown should contact their professors.
Separately, the University asks faculty and students who have Saturday classes to plan ahead for Downtown road closures and parking garage restrictions due to the St. Patrick's Day parade. Read full details.
