Drums, dancers and fireworks opened the new urban park at the Academic Village on Sept. 14, 2011.

As a part of Phase I of the Academic Village Initiative, a surface parking lot on the corner of Wood Street and the Boulevard of the Allies was transformed into an urban park bordering two Point Park buildings, the Boulevard Apartments and 100 Wood Street. The park welcomes both the Downtown and University communities with:

  • a colonnade wrapping the Boulevard Apartments and 100 Wood Street buildings
  • a granite water feature
  • a glass stair tower
  • outdoor dining
