1098-T forms are made available by Jan. 31 of each year.

Educational Tax Credits

Students may be eligible to claim The American Opportunity Tax Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit under the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997. For additional information on these education benefits and eligibility, visit www.irs.gov.

Form 1098-T

Point Park University reports the amount billed (Box 2) for qualified tuition and related expenses as well as the amount of scholarships and grants (Box 5) the student received for the calendar year. We do not report amounts paid (Box 1).

For example, a tuition payment made in December 2017 toward the spring 2018 semester will not be reflected on the 2016 1098-T form because the payment offsets a 2018 charge.
