Adele Cannell

Director of Affinity Giving and Special Gifts

Adele Cannell headshot Adele began at Point Park University in September 2017. She has over 30 years of experience in sales and account management. She has been a part of the nonprofit world as a donor and a volunteer as well as serving on various boards focused on education and social services. Her previous development employment includes positions at United Way of Southwestern PA and Gateway Rehab. Her extensive experience in customer development and relationship building, and strong presentation skills will be instrumental as she meets with alumni donors. Adele has a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from Chatham University.

Nicole Chytil

Executive Assistant

Nicole Chytil headshot

Nicole joined the University in August 2013 as the administrator for the Offices of Development and Alumni Relations. In her role, she supports the vice president of development and alumni relations and oversees the day-to-day operations of the office. She previously worked in the development offices of the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation and Carnegie Mellon University, and has an associate degree from Kaplan Career Institute.

Kristin DeLuca

Director of Development and Institutional Partnerships

Kristin DeLuca headshot Kristin began at Point Park in February 2017. She has 14+ years of experience in the political, nonprofit and higher education sectors. Kristin is dedicated to sharing student narratives and connecting donors with high impact giving opportunities. A graduate of Chatham University (B.A. in political science) and the University of Pittsburgh (M.Ed. in higher education management), Kristin is also working toward a Ph.D. in social and comparative analysis in education.

Jennifer Dittrich

Coordinator of Advancement Resources

Dittrich Jennifer joined Point Park as the data specialist in August 2014 and was promoted to coordinator of advancement resources in 2017. She previously served as gift entry and donor records specialist at Carlow University. Jennifer earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from La Roche College.

Linda Fletcher

Manager of Constituent Relations and Stewardship

Linda Fletcher headshot Linda joined Point Park University in 2015 in the Department of Marketing and Communications and became a member of the Development and Alumni Relations team in 2017. The bulk of her professional experience is in writing, editing, strategic communications planning and event planning for higher education, nonprofits and publications. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Montana State University. 

Sarah George-Surace

Director of Annual Fund Programs and Individual Giving

George 2017 headshot Sarah has been a part of the Point Park University community since 2008 when she joined the Department of Student Affairs. During her time in Student Affairs, she held a variety of roles that created connections with faculty, staff and students. She transferred to the Department of Development and Alumni Relations in April 2017. Her years of experience with the Point Park University community will help her to build strong relationships with our alumni and donors as she helps to grow annual giving efforts. Sarah will use her institutional knowledge and connections to further grow annual fund programs and individual giving. She holds a B.A. in psychology form Shippensburg University, and a M.S.Ed. in marriage and family therapy from Duquesne University.

Greg Ketteman

Director of Advancement Resources

Greg Ketteman headshot Greg joined the team in December 2017 and comes with 10+ years of experience working in development. Prior to joining Point Park, Greg was manager of prospect research at Tennessee State University in Nashville, and previously served as associate director of prospect research at Temple University in Philadelphia and as a capital campaign consultant with Ketchum, Inc. His primary focus at Point Park is building a robust prospect management program, database analysis, data integrity management, data mining and strategic input on predictive modeling to determine the University’s capacity to raise resource revenue for comprehensive funding priorities. Greg earned his B.A. at The University of Texas at Austin and his M.A. at SUNY Binghamton, both in anthropology.

Courtney Hammond

Assistant Director of Annual Fund Programs and Student Philanthropy

Courtney Hammond headshot Courtney joined the team in 2017. She comes to Point Park with 7+ years of experience working in nonprofits, primarily in development. She has worked at organizations including Abilities Network, Arthritis Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Courtney is committed to expanding Annual Fund programs at Point Park as well as developing philanthropic opportunities to engage University students. Courtney is a graduate of Towson University; she holds a B.S. in mass communication and communication studies.

 Jennifer Moritz

Director of Alumni Engagement

Moritz headshot 2017 In this role Jen oversees all alumni engagement activity, including local and regional programming, management of the Alumni Association board of directors, facilitation of alumni volunteer opportunities across campus and alumni communications. Jen's alumni experience includes previously being the assistant director of alumni relations at Point Park, as well as time with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine's Medical Alumni Association where she built a strong background in organizing alumni events and reunions, as well as student engagement. In addition, she worked with the University of Pittsburgh's health sciences alumni as an intern and worked for a Pittsburgh law firm handling marketing and business development. Jen earned her bachelor's degree in communication and rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh.

Sharon M. Navoney

Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations

Navoney headshot Sharon joined Point Park in March 2013. She has 30 years of experience as a senior fund development and advancement professional. She has an extensive background in capital campaigns and successfully managed, built and designed lead programs in all facets of advancement, development and alumni relations. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a concentration in early childhood development from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and earned a master's degree in administrative and policy studies in higher education from the University of Pittsburgh. Sharon also holds a management of nonprofit organizations graduate certificate from the University of Pittsburgh

Janet Stanley

Assistant Coordinator of Development Resources

Janet Stanley headshot Janet directly supports the director of development resources in managing and retrieving alumni, donor and constituent data in the development and alumni relations department. Janet previously held positions at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. While there, she managed the chapter accounting, database, miscellaneous needs and office supplies, accounts payable, accounts receivable, donor support and volunteer development. She also provided event and fundraising support, was responsible for handling the logistics for all 20 annual walks and assisted with the logistics for other chapter events.

Lauren Steiner

Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement

Lauren Steiner headshot Lauren began at Point Park in October 2017. She joins the team with nearly 10 years of event planning and nonprofit experience. Though she is new to her position in the department, she is not a stranger to Point Park. Lauren graduated from the University in May 2012 with a degree in advertising and public relations. Prior to accepting the position of assistant director of alumni engagement she was an active member of the Point Park University Alumni Association Board of Directors where she served on the P.A.R.T and Community Engagement task forces. In her current role her responsibilities include planning local and regional events and programming, engaging with current students and expanding the active Point Park alumni community.
