Nicole joined the University in August 2013 as the administrator for the Offices of Development and Alumni Relations. In her role, she supports the vice president of development and alumni relations, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the office. She previously worked in the development offices of the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation and Carnegie Mellon University, and has an associate degree from Kaplan Career Institute.
Director of Annual Giving
Greta oversees the Annual Fund, phonathon and other annual fundraising initiatives. Prior to joining Point Park in July 2014, Greta served as the director of alumni relations at Sewickley Academy, a PK-12 independent school, where she was responsible for all alumni-related engagement and fundraising efforts. In addition to her professional work, Greta has served as a volunteer and board member for a number of local nonprofit organizations. She is a current member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Young Nonprofit Professionals Network and The Hudson Union Society. She earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in Russian and Slavic studies from New York University.
Jennifer joined Point Park as the data specialist in August 2014. She previously served as gift entry and donor records specialist at Carlow University. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from La Roche College.
Director of Development
Beth began at Point Park in March 2014. She spends one-on-one time with graduates, parents and friends of Point Park to match their philanthropic interests with the University’s strategic goals. These conversations can lead to significant gifts that create scholarships, acquire needed equipment or enhance the students’ overall learning experience. Beth has a background in fund development and nonprofit management for human service agencies such as Girls Hope of Pittsburgh, Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti and Allegheny General Hospital.
Coordinator of Annual Giving
Miranda is the annual fund coordinator at Point Park University. In this role, Miranda works primarily with the student phonathon program. Miranda’s experience with annual giving includes time with Robert Morris University within their phonathon program.Miranda earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing with a concentration in hospitality and tourism management from Robert Morris University.
Director of Development Resources
Bridget joined Point Park in February 2014. As director of development resources, she handles data management and research services for the Offices of Development and Alumni Relations. Previously, she worked at Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Chatham University and the Ireland Institute of Pittsburgh. Bridget earned her bachelor’s degree from Chatham University and her master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Director of Alumni Relations
In this role, Sarah oversees all alumni engagement activity, including local and regional programming, management of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and facilitation of alumni volunteer opportunities across campus. Sarah’s previous experience includes multiple roles at Georgetown University Law Center in annual giving and alumni relations specializing in reunion engagement, as well as alumni relations roles at American University and Wesleyan University. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in American studies from Wesleyan University.
Assistant Director of Alumni Relations
In this role, Jen works with the director on all facets of alumni relations focusing on student engagement and regional engagement. Jen’s alumni experience includes time with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine’s Medical Alumni Association where she built a strong background in organizing alumni events and reunions, as well as student engagement. In addition, she worked with the University of Pittsburgh’s health sciences alumni as an intern and worked for a Pittsburgh law firm handling marketing and business development. Jen earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and rhetoric with a certificate in linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh.
Sharon M. Navoney
Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations
Sharon joined Point Park in March 2013. Sharon has 30 years of experience as a senior fund development and advancement professional. She has an extensive background in capital campaigns and successfully managed, built and designed lead programs in all facets of advancement, development and alumni relations. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a concentration in early childhood development from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and earned a master's degree in administrative and policy studies in higher education from the University of Pittsburgh. Navoney also holds a management of nonprofit organizations graduate certificate from the University of Pittsburgh.
Assistant Vice President of Constituent Relations & Resources
Penny joined the development and alumni relations office in September 2013. She oversees engagement and communications strategies not only for the alumni relations office, but also for donors, parents, students and friends of the University. Penny has 15 years of experience in nonprofit fund development work, including her time in alumni relations at both Chatham and Carlow Universities. Penny has a bachelor's degree from Duquesne University, a master's degree in leadership from Chatham University and a graduate certificate in adult and organizational learning from Northeastern University.
Assistant Coordinator of Development Resources
Janet directly supports the director of development resources in managing and retrieving alumni, donor and constituent data in the development and alumni relations department. Janet previously held positions at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. While there, she managed the chapter accounting, database, miscellaneous needs and office supplies, accounts payable, accounts receivable, donor support and volunteer development. She also provided event and fundraising support, was responsible for handling the logistics for all 20 annual walks and assisted with the logistics for other chapter events.
