Our program also has a strong emphasis on big data, in which you will learn how to generate and interpret a wide variety of business metrics in order to provide valuable information and insight for organizational leaders to make key business decisions.

A Career Field in High Demand

Information technology is consistently ranked as a career field in high demand. A CNN Money article titled "5 jobs with the biggest pay hikes" reported that pay raise rates for IT workers outpaced all other professions. 

Additionally, the latest information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates job growth rates for software developers to be "much faster than the average for all occupations" due to a large increase in demand for computer software, especially within the mobile technology and health care industries.

Internship Options

We will work with you to obtain internship opportunities in Downtown Pittsburgh and beyond, enabling you to lay the ground work for job offers upon graduation. 

In addition, you will frequently gain hands-on experience in our IT labs, allowing you to build your portfolio and gain a competitive edge in the field.
